Our long history dates back to 1878 when Company founder Buhei Ashimori the Tenth began trading in cotton and linen in Osaka.

• 1967  Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) approval for automotive seat belts granted.
• 1968  FMVSS (U.S.A.) approval for automotive seat belts granted.
• 1976  EC approval for automotive seat belts granted.
• 1989  Manufacturing of air bags started.
• 1996  ISO 9002 certification (Automotive Safety Systems Business Division) acquired.
• 1999  ISO 9001 and QS9000 certification (Automotive Safety Systems Business Division) acquired.
• 2017  European Representative Office established.
• 2018  IATF 16949 certification renewed.
• 2019  Ashimori Europe GmbH established.
